LIRS Climate Disaster & Protection Pathways for Migration

Developed by Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service’s (LIRS) Advocacy team, this climate migration report highlights the effects of climate change-related disaster and how it’s exacerbating humanitarian crises and driving individuals and families to leave their communities and ways of life. As the nation’s largest faith-based nonprofit dedicated exclusively to serving refugees, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable immigrants, LIRS has provided this toolkit to aid in the climate crisis.

The report’s design includes tables for relaying data, infographics, and iconography. The cover design incorporates a topographic overlaying migrants seeking shelter from a storm. This illustration conjures the implications of rough terrain, while also evoking maps and weather patterns.
