The Academy Logo

Created for a private music and art school in New York, this logo implements negative space to create dimensionality, and alludes to the shape of the paint brush. Both disciplines of music and art are emphasized through the paintbrush and paint stroke, as well as the piano keys composing the brush bristles. The shape of the paint stroke is also suggestive of the shape of Long Island.

The color palette consists of black and marigold, which symbolizes energy, joy, enthusiasm, and creativity. For the school’s business cards, we implemented alternating color schemes for added visual interest.
